I want to thank everyone for making me feel so welcome in my first semester here at Pike. I look forward to many more. I hope everyone has a very blessed Merry Christmas!

Revise History Final

I'm sorry, our History final is this Thursday not Friday. I'm sorry for the mix up.

Health

Our Health final is scheduled for this coming Friday. It will cover information from tests that we have taken throughout the semester. The students have been given the tests and the answers. Its been a great semester now lets have a strong finish. Thanks

9th Health

We had our final test today and now will begin working towards our final. Lets finish the semester on a good note.

10 History

We will have our final test tomorrow then will begin working towards our final. With a busy holiday season coming up lets make sure that we finish strong in the classroom!

Sophmores

Remember that you are responsible for bringing a carwash item for Patriot Marketplace which will be taking place this Thursday and Friday. Have those in as soon as possible please. Thanks

Basketball Season

We are now beginning basketball season and our kids have been working very hard. Please be sure to come out and support our Patriots as we open the season this Thursday at Lee-Scott.

9th Health

We are on the tobacco section of the chapter titled "Alcohol, Drugs, and Tobacco." This is a very long chapter so we have split it up into 3 sections, and will have 3 separate tests. We will discuss the health risks that come with using tobacco and also the sources that can be reached to receive help.

10th History

We just finished watching the movie The Patriot, and are now beginning chapter 8 which discusses the American Revolution.  We will discuss important battles, dates and figures that contributed to the war.

9th Grade Health

We will continue to discuss the effects of a healthy diet and work our way into eating disorders. We have learned some of the ways that a healthy diet can not only prevent some diseases and illnesses, but also how adopting a healthy diet can be a cure also. Next, we will talk about the causes and effects of eating disorders. We will learn the warning signs and and the necessary steps that should be taken if this occurs.

10th Grade History

My American History Class has begun chapter 6 entitled "Life in the 13 Colonies". Throughout this chapter we will be discussing how they made a living, their educational philosophies, social habits, and religious beliefs. We will have a minimum of four grades on this chapter including; 2 chapter worksheets, a chapter quiz, and a test.
